Pacific Northwest Midwifery was truly 'born' over 15 years ago with the birth of Tinneca's first son. This deeply transformative personal experience opened her eyes to a vision of women's health that involved not only the 'norms' of typical care, but also the need for care that truly nourishes the whole woman. This kind of care offers an absolute commitment to nurturing the emotional and spiritual health of the mother at all times and is fully aware that the natural flow of physiological processes must be uninhibited for birth to unfold.
Tinneca began teaching and supporting women in 2004 and earned her midwifery degree from Midwives College of Utah. She spent an exciting few months in 2006 at an amazing birth center in Texas (Casa de Nacimiento) and went on to do the majority of her clinical residency here in Washington with a dear friend and nurse-midwife, Toni Erickson. It was from Toni's 30 years of women's health experience and her heart for mothers and babies that continues to define and strengthen Tinneca's passion for serving women and their families. In the last 10+ years she has been trusted in the birth space for over 500 sweet babies!
"I believe that woman are strong and capable of giving their babies the healthiest start to life by enjoying a vibrant pregnancy, receiving loving and informed prenatal care and experiencing the joys of birth, breastfeeding and beyond. It is my pleasure to connect with women and support them in making choices for birth that are healthy, positive, meaningful and transformative." -Tinneca
In addition to midwifery and holistic healthcare, Tinneca and her husband run a fully outdoor nature school and organic farm, Timber Creek Farm and Forest. They share the responsibility of homeschooling and raising 5 beautiful children, 4 sons and 1 daughter.

DEARDRA BOYLE: 2015-16
Deardra is a native Washingtonian raised in the beautiful Bonney Lake area. As a child, she felt called to work with moms and babies, and as she matured, she acknowledged her calling and became a doula. She received her doula training through the much admired Sacred Doula course taught by the beloved Carrie Kenner. This doula workshop was a transformational experience for Dearda and solidified her belief that womanhood, pregnancy and childbirth should be powerful and empowering experiences.
In the midst of becoming a doula and attending births, she herself was expecting her first son and sought the guidance of a homebirth midwife. Her midwife provided her with the tools she needed to give birth to her son beautifully and naturally at home. Her experience with her own midwife sealed her conviction to become a midwife herself. She previously attended Eastern Oregon University and is currently pursuing her specialty midwifery degree through Midwives College of Utah.
Deardra is a fun, free spirited, happy young woman and enjoys her life with her 3.5 year old son, Johnny (who is the coolest kid ever!) She is an avid gardener, hiker and is interested in all aspects of holistic health. She is so excited to be a part of your care as she journeys to becoming a midwife.
